Find Backloads Furniture Removals Hints

  1. Reduce Your Stress
Furniture Removals both locally and interstate, can be a highly stressful time coupled often with the problems of finding the right place, settlement issues and a variety of other conditions or expenses. There are quite a lot of things you can do to help ease the stress and expense of moving and organisation/preparation is often the key.

  2. Weeks before moving day....
Make sure you have obtained your quote through Findbackloads and you have confirmed all the necessary arrangements with your selected company.

  1. Be well organised
A well organised move will save you a lot of stress and money in the end. Here are some tips you can use to speed up a removalists loading and unloading of your furniture:
  • Make sure that there is an easy access point for the truck and clear all cars away from the area so that there is minimal amount of time wastage at the beginning of the job.
  • Pack as much as you can into standard boxes. The more different size or smallish boxes you have, the harder and longer it will take for a removalist to get the items to the truck and to pack them. If your access is bad this can in fact add up to a considerable amount of time.
  • Try to minimise the amount of small goods required for packing. This can be a time consuming task for removalists, especially if the access to or from the truck is poor. Small items that can be packed into boxes will not only be safer but will decrease the load time considerably.
  • Make sure everything is disconnected or taken apart where possible. Every time a removalist has to dismantle something (if they in fact have tools), is less time given to loading a truck. Mattresses can have any legs taken off, tables can have legs removed, washing machines can have their hoses unplugged and the list goes on. Anything you can do, that a removalist will not be required to do, is going to make their task easier and quicker.
  • If possible make sure access points are clear and there is no clutter for a removalist to have to work around. The more double-handling required for the removlists, the less time is spent loading and the more it is going to cost you, especially for local moves.
  • Having items moved into the garage can save an enormous amount of time and reduces the amount of clutter inside the house.
  • If items are staying, make sure they are clearly tagged and preferably away in a room where they are not going to get mixed up or double-handled.
  • If you have time constraints due to settlement issues, call the company to get expected load times (generally 1 hr for every 10 cubic metres) so that any wastage of time due to settlement is avoided. Remember most companies will keep the clock ticking, so you should do all you can to avoid any wasted time.
  • Make sure you have worked out your payment method well ahead of time in order to avoid time wastage at the end of the job and remember that trucks do not carry a cash register and so may not have small change available.
  1. What service should I expect from a company?
If you talk to any of your friends, you will most probably find that they have had both good and bad experiences with moving companies. There are some companies that have many repeated customers and unfortunately there are also companies that offer such poor service that it is unlikely that they will gain any recommendations. In order to recieve good service from a moving company you should click here to find the following:
